Eternity

We believe in the bodily resurrection of both the saved and the unsaved. People were created to exist forever in one of two conditions. The unsaved will exist eternally separated from God, experiencing continuous punishment in Hell. The saved will exist eternally with God in Heaven, enjoying everlasting blessedness. Scriptures teach that Heaven and Hell are real places of eternal existence.

The Lord’s Supper

The Lord’s Supper, also known as communion, is the practice of remembering and recounting Christ’s death until He comes again. We practice this every week as a church family through the partaking of bread and cup, representing Christ’s body and blood. This act of remembrance is vital for us as believers, as it represents an actual communion with the risen Christ who indwells every believer by virtue of His death in our place. Communion, however, is even more significant and beautiful than simply understanding these facts. It is a commemoration that reaches backward, inward, and forward.

Acts 8:4, Romans 1:16, Psalms 96:3

Baptism

We believe Christian baptism is the immersion of a believer in water in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. It is an act of obedience symbolizing the believer’s faith in a crucified, buried, and risen savior, mirrored in the believer’s death to sin, the burial of the old life, and the resurrection of walk in newness of life in Christ Jesus.

Matthew 28:19-20, Acts 1:5, Acts 2:38-39, Romans 6:3-5

The Church

The Church is the profound expression of God’s plan for humanity, uniting all who place their faith in Jesus Christ into one spiritual body through the works of the Holy Spirit. It serves as God’s family on Earth, with Christ as its head. Rooted in the promises to Isreal, the Church includes all believers - past, present, and future - both universally and locally. The universal Church spans time and place, embodying Christ’s New Covenant and Kingdom, while local churches gather regularly in His name to proclaim the Gospel and grow together in faith.

Local churches, established and guided by New Testament teachings operated under Christ’s supreme authority. Biblically designated leaders (elders and deacons) serve as shepherds and guides under the sovereignty of Christ. The congregation submits to their leadership, affirming the autonomy and self-government of each local assembly.

As the body and bride of Christ, the Church glorifies God by building itself upon faith, practicing ordinances, nurturing fellowship, and advancing the gospel globally. The Holy Spirit received on Pentecost empowers the Church to fulfill its mission, equipping believers with spiritual gifts for service and unity.

In essence, the Church stands as God’s testament to His redemptive purpose, uniting believers across time and place to glorify Christ until His return.
